Lucja Ray

Hi my name is Lucja and thank you for visiting me and my world of art and as my name indicates I have a European and Australian multicultural mix. In 1982 I graduated from The Seaforth College of Fine Arts in Sydney and in 2007 obtained  Bachelor of Education BAVE degree from Griffith University in Brisbane.

I have been a professional artist for nearly thirty years winning many awards and my works are found in collections around Australia,  US, NZ and Europe. Teaching has also been my passion for about twenty years taking classes and workshops  throughout the eastern states of Australia as well as N Z and Italy.

Since coming to Queensland in early 1993 I have;

• Toured and taught with Flying Arts Inc. in outback NSW  and Qld for three years
• Held position as Chair of The Royal Qld Art Society - Gold Coast
• Visual Arts Coordinator and Exhibitor of Polish Australian Art Exhibition POLART 2000 at Qld Museum
• Produced a teaching DVD called 'An Adventure in Art the Road to Creativity'.
• Taken 3 Art Tours to Italy
• Currently employed by Qld Health at Southport Hospital working as an artisan in Mental Health Rehab Services
